Our company seeks to employ an IT Security Engineer to join our Security Operations Department.

Neurosoft’s Security IT Security Engineer service, assist Organizations to implement, operate and supervise cyber security technology to help prevent breaches, taps, and leaks associated with cybercrime. The particular role will assist in identifying technical vulnerabilities within a network, and managing cyber security technology, and/or configuring systems to enhance existing security features. He/She will also be a member of the Incident Response Team, acts both proactively and reactively against security breaches, root cause analysis and mitigation efforts.

Position Responsibilities

His/Her job will be to provide services to Clients, on site as a ΙΤ cyber security engineer, for:

  • Implementation and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Operation & tuning of Security infrastructure consoles & tools
  • Assist in the implementation of the ISMS framework focusing on definition and implementation of IT security controls in line with standards, guidelines and requirements from the regulators, industry Best Practices and Corporate Security Policy
  • Works closely with technical owners or vendors for the implementation of the necessary corrective solutions on areas of risk
  • Develop new Use Cases in organization’s SIEM based on technical and business needs
  • Tuning of the existing SIEM Rules 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Master’s degree in the field of Information Security would be highly considered as a plus
  • 2-4 years of working experience as security engineer or security analyst, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
  • Relevant experience with SIEM Technologies will be considered as a strong plus
  • Review SOC tickets queue, closure or reassignment as needed
  • Expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, URL filtering, information security and virus protection
  • Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats
  • Conducting proactive research to analyse security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
  • Understanding of security frameworks and best practices (e.g. SANS Critical Security Controls, NIST SP, ISO27001)

Preferred Skills and Qualification

  • Security certifications such as CISSP, GISP, CISM or any equivalent certification
