We have an open vacancy for a Cyber Security Analyst position (Level 1) who will join our Information Security Services team to further support the monitoring services provided to our customers and eventually mitigate security issues on behalf of them. He/she might need to work along with a team of skilled professionals to address complex problems, when needed. The role assumes monitoring and detection duties on a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC).

Main Responsibilities

• Monitors client infrastructures for security events and alerts, in case of active or potential
threats, intrusions or compromises
• Detects and analyzes network anomalies considered to be Events of Interest (EOI)
• Ensures compliance with organizational security rules and standards
• Delivers appropriate reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
• Coordinates with Senior Analysts and/or Duty Manager for high priority incidents
• Conducts research to keep abreast of latest security issues

Professional Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Security, ICT, Networking or any other relevant field
• Prior experience as a security analyst is preferred but not mandatory
• Very good knowledge of Linux / Unix / Windows systems
• Solid background in at least one of the following:
o Networking and associated protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, OSI model etc.)
o Information Security (Security standards and practices, Security technologies, Security
Monitoring, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Threat landscape etc.)
• Hands-on experience with SIEM – IBM QRadar is highly desirable
• Relevant certifications consist of a strong asset (e.g. CySA, Security +, CEH, GPEN, GSEC)
• Understanding or knowledge of software programming with scripting languages is beneficial
